Dear participants, the drawing of lots will be held on February 15, 2014 at 11am in the Organizing Committee Office (room No. 210 in the Great Hall building).

Aims
- Search for the most talented young voice and piano duos, support and stimulate their professional skills
- Popularize academic chamber music
- Develop national music education
- Return the valuable unjustly forgotten musical legacy of the past epochs to concert life
- State a high professional lath for voice and piano duos within modern musical process
- Strengthen creative communications between musical high schools from Russia and from abroad
- Provide favorable conditions for interaction of performers and the audience
- Promote the status of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory as an important European musical center

Program
The chamber music for voice and piano is the only one acceptable at the First and the Second rounds.
I round (Preliminary — by DVD) — 10 minutes
- One Lied of one of the following composers: F. Schubert, R. Schuman, J. Brahms, H. Wolf, R. Strauss (at the participants choice);
- One Song of one of the following composers: M. Glinka, A. Dargomyzhsky, A. Borodin, A. Rubinstein, M. Balakirev, C. Cui, M. Moussorgsky, A. Arensky, S. Taneyev, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninov.
II round — up to 30 minutes
A free program, which must include one or more compositions of:
- Russian composers of XIXth and early XXth centuries;
- European composers of XIXth century;
- Russian composers of XX-XXI centuries*;
- European composers of XX-XXI centuries*
* Published compositions only are allowed for performance.
For each of 4 compulsory issues the participants can include in the program compositions of either one or more composers. Performance of compositions of other composers is allowed only if the time limits of the program fit the requirements. Arias are not allowed in the I and II Rounds programs.
III round — up to 30 minutes
- A song cycle or several compositions combined in one opus.
- Major operatic aria;
Applications
• the competition is open to professional musicians of all nationalities born before January 1th, 1996 and after January 1th, 1979 (for vocalists)/January 1th, 1984 (for pianists)
• the deadline for submitting applications is extended to December 25th, 2013
• the filled out application form (can be downloaded on Moscow Conservatory web site – http://mosconsv.ru/en/ in .doc format) must be supplemented with the following scanned documents (for each member of duo):
o a copy of passport or any other ID-card (the pages with photograph and personal signature are required)
o video recording of the preliminary round program
- as a link to file share services
- in one of the formats: avi, mov, wmv or mp4 of professional DVD-quality and
HD
- the link must lead to one file, available for downloading, with no password and
CAPTCHA
- the link must not contain p2p content
- the link must not be public or from YouTube and similar services
o a document or diploma confirming contestant's musical education level
o a certificate from the employer (if employed) or from the educational institution (for students) confirming the employment/studies status
o curriculum vitae including date and place of birth, educational institution (actual or graduated), years of studies, teachers, previous competitions (year, country, city and award), any other important information
o one recommendation from the educational institution (high school, college etc.) or two recommendations from renowned musicians
o one common photo of the duo members – not less than 300 dpi/2Mb by size (neutral background, artistically performed)
o a receipt of payment of the entrance fee
o a permission for processing the applicant’s personal data (a scanned document written in a free mode with personal signature required)
• all these documents and photos should be sent by e-mail to art-department@mail.ru
• not later than December 25th, 2013 all the contestants allowed to the II Round of the Competition will be officially informed about the admission to the Competition and the required date of arrival
• no changes to submitted program are allowed
• entrance fee, non-refundable under any circumstances, is
- 3000 RUR
for duos from Russia and CIS-members countries
- 100 USD

- 80 EUR
for duos from abroad

Procedure
- the participants should arrive in Moscow according to the dates indicated in the official notification issued by the Organizing committee
- the Competition includes three rounds – Preliminary (in absentia), the II and III Rounds (live).
- the preliminary round implies the examination of the participants' video recordings by the Preliminary round Jury. Not more than 30 duos will be selected for the II Round.
- the II and III Rounds are held in Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory as a public concert.
- not more than 12 duos will be selected for the III Round.
- the order of the performances will be defined by drawing of lots and unchanged through all the competition.
- the contestants must attend at the drawing of lots and the information briefing on February, 15th 2014.
- the order of the pieces within the program is at the contestant choice.
- the Organizing Committee of the Competition provides all the contestants with practice rooms and rehearsals on the stage where the auditions will take place.
- The Jury of the Competition has the right to decide by the consent of all Jury members on reduction of the contestant program or on interruption of the contestant performance.
- the Jury members cannot vote for the duos which include their official last two years students. The Jury members should inform the Organizing Committee before the Competition about the participation of such duos in writing.
- the results will be announced immediately after each round.
- the decisions of the Jury are final and cannot be contested.
Prizes
- 1 Prize — 160 000 rubles
- 2 Prize — 120 000 rubles
- 3 Prize — 80 000 rubles
- two diplomas of 50 000 rubles each
The Jury has right:
- to award special prizes
- to divide prizes between participants
- not to award all diplomas and prizes
- change the money prize amounts within the total prize amount
- not to award the first prize.
All the money prizes are paid in Russian rubles and are subject of taxation accordingly to the tax laws of the Russian Federation.
Additional prizes may be awarded with the approval of the Organizing Committee to the participants of the public rounds by governmental, non-governmental or commercial organizations, foundations, artistic unions, mass media and private individuals.
Financial conditions
- the transportation and alimentation expenses for the participants and accompanying persons are covered by the contestants themselves or the represented organization
- the Organizing Committee will support the participants to book accommodation in case of prior demand
- issuing invitations and visa support are provided by the Organizing Committee
- once received the official notifications from the Organizing Committee the participants from abroad should contact the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate to submit the visa processing. All visa expenses are paid by the contestants accordingly to the Russian Consulates requirements
- the submission and entry into the Competition mean an unconditional consent to all of above terms and conditions
- the participants of the Competition do not receive any fee for their performance at the Competition or for the distribution of the recordings and broadcasts of these performances
- the laureates of the Competition should perform free of charge in the Concert of the laureates, otherwise the money prize and the laureate award subject to withdrawal.
- the Organizing Committee of the Competition has the exclusive rights on the audio and video records and broadcasts of the Competition auditions and the final concert of the laureates
- in case of any arguments concerning the interpretation of present terms and conditions of the Competition, the Russian version is to be considered principal
