Lev was born in 1977 in Orel.

In 2001 he graduated from Moscow State Conservatoire class of Professor G. Odinez and T. Gaidamovich. At the same time he was trained by V. Berlinskiy for International competition of String Quartets.

In 1999 when Lev was a participant of  “Romantik Quartet” he won first prize and 7 special prizes at the 5th International Competition under the name of Shostakovich. Lev performed a lot in Russia and all over the world. He also participated in festival under the name of D. Oistrach in Pyarny (Estonia), festival under the name of A. Arenskiy, festival “Young for young” (Turin, Italy) and “Art of quartet – Beethoven-Bartok” (Moscow).

He participated in performances of Borodin Quartet in the halls of Moscow Conservatoire.

Starting from January 2008 Lev works for Glinka Quartet.
