The personal exhibition of Yevgeny Romashko, First Vice-president of the Creative Union of Russia’s Artists, will be opened at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory from December 2024 to January 2025.

The Video Content Competition “An Artist’s Frame” was presented in the Moscow Conservatory’s Conference Hall on 9 December 2024. This competition is to grant both graduate and postgraduate students of the Moscow Conservatory an opportunity to create their original video content in order to implement their ideas in the named area of artistry.

Léon Theremin (1896–1993), the famous creator of the thereminvox (1920), designed an electronic instrument called therepsitone (1978) for Lidia Kavina, his cousin’s granddaughter (b. 1967). The dance artist Vladimir Yermachenkov and the composer Oleg Makarov, an engineer at the Moscow Conservatory’s Center for Electroacoustic Music, staged a performance specifically for this instrument. A unique specimen of the therepsitone occupies an important place at the exhibition “To Archive the Present Time” in the Art Space “Artemyev”.

The new book “Vladimir Gorlinsky. Beyond the light. A journey through the ensemble” was presented in the Moscow Conservatory’s Conference Hall on 28 November 2024 at midday. The book tells about a piece composed by Gorlinsky in the course of the Notes and Quotes program by the Union of Russia’s Composers and dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Studio of New Music Ensemble of Soloists. The award ceremony for the winners of the Third Music Academy International Competition of Musicologists preceded the presentation.
