The International Composition Competition meeting the Third Moscow Conservatory International Competition for Winds and Percussion

The competition founder — Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
The competition rules:
- There are two categories of competition
- Works for clarinet solo
- Works for trumpet solo
- The competition is open to composers of any nationality with no age limit.
- Each composer can present no more than one work for each category.
- The competition admits only works, which have not been performed in public concerts, have not been published and have not awarded prizes at other competitions.
- The length of the work must be between 5 and 8 minutes.
- The composer`s name must not appear on the cover of score. Composers must enclose two copies of score under a motto.
- The score must be written clearly and legibly, either by hand in ink, or computer. It is also necessary to enclose a CD with electronic or scanned version of the score in PDF format.
- In addition in two copies of score, composers must enclose

- These facts should be enclosed in a sealed envelope signed with the motto indicated on the score cover.
- Two copies of the score, CD and the sealed envelope with the mentioned documents should be sent before May 25th, 2011 to the following address:

- The result of the competition will be announced not later, than on September 1st, 2011.
The Prizes:
- 10 000 Russian rubles for the best work for clarinet solo
- 10 000 Russian rubles for the best work for trumpet solo
The Prizes are paid in Russian rubles with due regard for the Russian taxes.
The works by winners will be published by the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory Publishers House and will be obligate works for the second round of the Third Moscow Conservatory International Competition for Winds and Percussion in the period of November 1-8, 2011.
The jury has the right to recommend another works by competition participants for publishing by Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory Publishers House.
The Jury
The competition jury will consist of professors of wood-wind and percussion instruments and brass instruments departments as well as of professors of composition department.
