M. I. Glinka. “Prince Kholmsky” and “Farewell to St. Petersburg”
The stage performance of the music to Nestor Kukolnik’s drama “Prince Kholmsky” and the premiere of the orchestral version of the vocal cycle “Farewell to Petersburg,” both composed by Mikhail Glinka (1804–1857), took place on 29 October 2024 in the Rachmaninoff Hall in honor of the 220<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the Russian classical musician.

Vasily Polenov, a painter and composer
Pieces composed by Vasily Polenov, a famous Russian painter, were performed at a concert that took place at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory’s Rachmaninoff Hall on 10 June 2024 at 19:00. Music by J. S. Bach and Sergei Rachmaninoff, the composers especially significant for Polenov, was also performed.
