The Festival Moscow Conservatory Online

Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory will launch a festival of online concerts from 21 March 2020. “We are not going to leave our listeners self-isolated at this difficult time,” stressed Prof. Alexander Sokolov, the Moscow Conservatory’s Acting Rector.

The project will be opened at the Great Hall by Yuri Bashmet and his Chamber Orchestra The Soloists of Moscow.

Pianists Nikolai Lugansky, Denis Matsuev, Mikhail Voskresensky, Daniil Kramer, Polina Osetinskaya and Andrey Pisarev, cellists Alexander Knyazev, Alexander Rudin and Alexander Ramm, organists Alexei Parshin, Konstantin Volostnov, Evgenia Krivitskaia and other musicians have agreed to take part in this humane action of art therapy.

“In fact, it is online broadcasts that are now our only opportunity not to part with the audience, our chance to communicate with millions of people through music, which is always the supporting source of positive emotions during any hard times,” said Nikolai Lugansky.
“The artists’ mission at the moments of global turbulence is to restore balance in people’s souls by way of introducing them to the highest achievements of classical music,” said Alexander Solovyov, Artistic Director of the Moscow Conservatory’s Chamber Choir.

The project is supported by the Kommersant publishing house.

The schedule will be flexible.
All live broadcasts will start at 19:00.
